Japanese history is very extensive, best to look up what the citizenship test covers to get a head start.

Well, you don't need to be a citizen to live there. You can be a legal resident alien for a while, but you need citizenship if you plan to stay for life.

Not entirely sure, but I do know you need to know at least 300 Kanji if I remember correctly.

But I think for the Japanese Fluency test you need to know all 2000, or at least 1500 x.x
