How is it that we got into our AMV-making careers in the first place? Just what inspired us? How did we get pumped up and started on this path?

For me it started with a song and a dream. lol
I really liked the song, "Awakening of a Legend" from Pokemon 2000.

I was a narutard XD watching amvs of the show eventually I made an amv of it with Beast and The harlot by avenged sevenfold, if I remember right it was the garaa fight.

It was LOOONG before I found out about youtube that I started to get into it.

I had saw a really badass Final Fantasy AMV from Kazaa to the song "Papercut" by Linkin Park.

I also saw numerous badass DBZ ones, one of which was "Kryptonite" by 3 doors down (mostly about Gohan)
Actually my cousin showed me that one. I was like "I want to do that one day"

I actually made a really good Chrono Trigger one as my first official AMV, but it was a LOOONG time before youtube. So I have yet to recreate it Sad

I think I seen the Kryptonite AMV your taking about Yuki. xD Its on the org.
As for me I had seena few AMV's when I started rp then one day asked a guy on yt how he made em and he pointed me to wmm and my start was in place. My first vid was to Save me by Remi Zero I believe.

Im with ya on the DBZ thing Heaven its not as fun to edit when it whored out right?
