The words seemed to comfort him. The soft touch of Kein's hands felt nice, but the fear and guilt still didn't disappear. After much though, Evial smiled a little and started to laugh hysterically.
"Grief and sadness? But.... hahaha. This is all a game, right?...but if it was just that, this wouldn't be so serious, right?"
He gave a weird smile to Kein, but with tears in his eyes. "Yeah, I'm ready for this. Because it's like, ever since that day, I've been affected by this in the real world. Like, I have a greater purpose now...and if I back out now, what other things will that affect?" He shook his head. "I can't be selfish, especially if this is more than just about me...."
With that, Evial forcefully grabbed Kein's hand. "So, let's get this target, and question him. Okay? I've done my research... I hear he likes to hang around the arena. I think I might have seen him before actually."
Adella's eyes widened. She wasn't too sure, but it seemed like Astal was different than he usually is. Was it the heat of the battle? Adella leaned closer to see the stadium and looked to see the battle more up close. He definitely seemed weird. "Astal! Go Astal!" She cheered him on, hoping he wouldn't become what she had.
